Your Financial Garden
Thoughts from Worry Free Island: In this world of instant gratification, it is very difficult to buy into things that take time to mature. We tend to want to reap a harvest before we have even planted the seeds. Looking at nature is a great way to see what can happen if you do allow things to grow, because we accept that seeds need time to grow. It would be unreasonable to plant an apple tree and expect it to bear fruit immediately, we acknowledge that it will need careful nurturing and care until it can give us fruit, and the good thing is, that once we have got a full grown apple tree, it will give us fruit for years to come.
When it comes to our financial garden, we tend to plant a small seed, and try and reap fruit as soon as we can, and as soon as there is any sign of growth, we reap the harvest. Just imagine that your savings are the apple tree, and tend them until they have a chance to grow, and like the apple tree, once they mature, they will give you a regular harvest.
TIP: Always live for today, but be aware of the future.
